Installation Guidelines:

1. Surface Preparation:

• The surface must be clean, dry, and free from dust, oil, and debris. Uneven or rough surfaces should be smoothed out, and cracks or voids should be repaired before installation.

• Apply a primer if required, especially for porous substrates like concrete or masonry.

2. Application Process:

• Measure and cut the membrane to the required length.

• Remove the release liner from the adhesive side and position the membrane on the prepared surface.

• Press down firmly, ensuring full contact with the substrate. Use a roller to remove any air pockets or wrinkles, ensuring a tight bond.

• Overlap adjacent sheets by at least 50-75mm (2-3 inches) to create a watertight seal.

3. Seams and Joints:

• Ensure proper overlap of seams for complete waterproofing. Consider using a double layer of membrane at critical points like corners and edges.

• For areas that require additional reinforcement, apply a sealing tape or use a secondary layer of membrane.

4. Curing Time:

• Since this is a self-adhered membrane, there is no curing time required. Once applied, it immediately provides waterproofing protection.

Maintenance:

• Regular inspections should be conducted to identify any areas of wear, damage, or possible leaks.

• If damage is detected, repairs can be made easily by applying new membrane layers over the affected area.

※  Storage and Transport

1. Products of different types or specifications shall not be mixed in stock.

2. SBS elastomeric bitumen membrane should be kept dry and ventilated, without exposure to the sun or rain.

3. The temperature of the storage shall not be higher than 45 ℃. Stockpile the membranes flatwise, whose stockpile height shall not exceed five layers.

4. Prevent tilt or side pressure during transportation. Felt covering is required if necessary.

5. Time of storage shall at least be one year from the date of manufacture, under normal storage conditions for the product.
