※  Product Description

Cement-Based Capillary Crystalline Waterproofing Coating is an advanced waterproofing solution designed for concrete structures. This coating utilizes cutting-edge crystalline technology, which penetrates deep into the concrete's pores and capillaries. Upon contact with moisture, the active chemicals in the coating react with the free lime in the concrete, forming an insoluble crystalline structure that blocks water pathways and prevents water ingress. This self-healing mechanism ensures long-lasting protection against water penetration.

※  Material Features

Crystalline Formation:

Contains active chemicals that react with water and free lime in the concrete, forming insoluble crystals.

These crystals penetrate deep into the pores, capillaries, and micro-cracks of the concrete, blocking water pathways and providing a permanent waterproof barrier.

Self-Healing Properties:

The coating's crystalline structure can reactivate in the presence of moisture, sealing new cracks and voids up to 0.4 mm wide.

This self-healing feature ensures long-term protection and reduces the need for ongoing maintenance.

Durability:

Resistant to environmental factors such as UV radiation, freeze-thaw cycles, and chemical exposure.

Provides lasting waterproof protection without deteriorating over time, even under harsh conditions.

Integral Waterproofing:

Unlike surface-applied membranes, this coating becomes an integral part of the concrete structure.

The waterproofing is not just a surface treatment but penetrates and protects the entire concrete matrix.

Vapor Permeability:

Allows the passage of water vapor while blocking liquid water, which helps prevent issues related to trapped moisture, such as blistering or delamination.

This breathability is especially important in structures where moisture needs to escape without compromising the waterproofing.

Chemical Resistance:

Provides excellent resistance to a wide range of chemicals commonly found in sewage, industrial environments, and marine settings.

Protects the concrete against corrosion and degradation due to chemical exposure.

Non-Toxic and Eco-Friendly:

The product is non-toxic and safe for use in potable water applications, such as water tanks, reservoirs, and wastewater treatment plants.

Environmentally friendly formulation with minimal impact on the surrounding ecosystem.

Easy Application:

Can be applied by brush, roller, trowel, or spray, depending on the project requirements.

Suitable for both internal (negative-side) and external (positive-side) waterproofing applications.

Adheres well to both old and new concrete surfaces, making it versatile for both new construction and repair projects.

Crack Bridging:

The flexible crystalline structure can bridge small cracks in the concrete, ensuring the waterproofing remains intact even if the structure experiences slight movements or shrinkage.

Cost-Effective:

With its long-lasting performance and minimal maintenance requirements, this coating offers a cost-effective solution for waterproofing concrete structures.

Reduces the need for future repairs and extends the lifespan of the concrete.

※ Construction Requirments

Surface Preparation:

Cleaning: Ensure that all surfaces are clean and free of dust, dirt, oil, grease, or any other contaminants that may affect adhesion.

Repair: Fill any large cracks, holes, or voids in the concrete with appropriate repair materials before applying the coating.

Moisture Content: Check the moisture content of the substrate; the surface should be slightly damp but free of standing water at the time of application.

Environmental Conditions:

Temperature: The ideal temperature for application is between 5°C to 35°C (41°F to 95°F). Avoid application in extremely cold or hot conditions, as they can affect curing and adhesion.

Humidity: High humidity is acceptable, but avoid applying the coating during heavy rain or when rain is expected within 24 hours after application.

Mixing:

Proportions: Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for the proper mixing ratios of the powder and any liquid components.

Equipment: Use a mechanical mixer for consistent mixing to avoid lumps and ensure a uniform consistency.

Resting Time: Allow the mixed material to rest for a few minutes before application to activate its properties.

Application:

Method: Apply the coating using a brush, roller, trowel, or spray, depending on the area size and accessibility.

Coat Thickness: Ensure an even application, typically with a minimum thickness of 1-2 mm per coat, as specified by the manufacturer.

Multiple Coats: For optimal performance, apply at least two coats, allowing sufficient drying time between coats (generally 4-8 hours).

Curing:

Initial Cure: Protect the newly applied coating from extreme temperatures and direct sunlight during the initial curing phase.

Moisture Maintenance: If applicable, lightly mist the surface with water for the first few days to ensure proper hydration and crystal formation.

Quality Control:

Inspection: Conduct a visual inspection after application to check for uniformity and coverage.

Testing: If necessary, perform water permeability tests to ensure the effectiveness of the waterproofing layer.

Safety Precautions:

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Use appropriate PPE such as gloves, masks, and goggles during mixing and application to avoid skin and respiratory irritation.

Ventilation: Ensure adequate ventilation in enclosed spaces during application to disperse any fumes.

Storage:

Conditions: Store the product in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture.

Shelf Life: Refer to the manufacturer’s guidelines for the shelf life of the material and use before the expiration date.

Post-Application:

Inspection: Conduct a final inspection after curing to ensure the coating has properly adhered and is free from defects.

Maintenance Plan: Develop a maintenance plan for periodic inspections, especially in high-risk areas, to ensure ongoing effectiveness.

Storage and Transportation

Cement-based capillary crystalline waterproofing coatings should be stored in a dry, cool area, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Containers should be tightly sealed to prevent exposure to air and humidity. During transportation, ensure that the products are secured and protected from physical damage and moisture. Adhering to the manufacturer's recommendations for storage and transport conditions is essential for maintaining the coating's effectiveness.
