Installation Instructions

1. Surface Preparation:

• Clean the surface thoroughly to remove dust, dirt, oil, or other contaminants. Ensure the substrate is dry and free of any loose particles.

• Prime the surface with a suitable primer to enhance adhesion, especially on porous or uneven surfaces.

2. Application:

• Start by unrolling the membrane and cutting it to the required length.

• Peel off the protective release liner and position the membrane on the prepared surface.

• Press down firmly to ensure full contact with the substrate. For best results, use a roller to smooth out any air pockets or wrinkles.

• Overlap adjacent sheets by at least 10cm to ensure complete coverage and watertight sealing.

3. Sealing and Finishing:

• At seams and joints, use a sealing tape or an additional layer of the membrane to ensure watertight connections.

• For vertical applications, apply additional pressure at the top edge to prevent water from penetrating behind the membrane.

4. Curing Time:

• No curing time is needed for the adhesive membrane, as it bonds instantly to the substrate.

※  Storage and Transport

1. Products of different types or specifications shall not be mixed in stock.

2. SBS elastomeric bitumen membrane should be kept dry and ventilated, without exposure to the sun or rain.

3. The temperature of the storage shall not be higher than 45 ℃. Stockpile the membranes flatwise, whose stockpile height shall not exceed five layers.

4. Prevent tilt or side pressure during transportation. Felt covering is required if necessary.

5. Time of storage shall at least be one year from the date of manufacture, under normal storage conditions for the product.

Safety and Handling:

Always wear protective gloves and eyewear during installation to avoid contact with the adhesive.

Ensure proper ventilation in enclosed spaces to prevent the buildup of fumes.

Store the product in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources.

Maintenance and Longevity:

Inspect the membrane periodically for signs of wear, damage, or punctures, especially in high-traffic areas.

Any damaged sections should be repaired immediately by applying a new membrane over the affected area.

Under normal conditions, the membrane can last 20-30 years with minimal maintenance, providing long-term waterproofing and protection.

Environmental Considerations:

The membrane is free from harmful chemicals and heavy metals, ensuring it is safe for both installers and the environment.

It can be recycled at the end of its life cycle, contributing to sustainable building practices.
